Mistkraal farm is situated about 50 km outside of Cradock in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, nestled in the Bankberg Mountains. We invite you to come enjoy a break away at Mistkraal Farm! The current size of the Mistkraal Farm is approximately 2700 hectares and has a big beautiful old farmhouse that has been upgraded to suit modern-day living.
HUNTING
Mistkraal farm is at the nexus of a growing extreme hunting sensation in Southern Africa. The experience we offer is quite extraordinary in the sense that we are unaffected by the constraints of "older" hunting methods. HUNTING STORIES
Able on this hunt shot three bucks in the neck and they dropped on the spot. He shot a Kudu, Springbuck, and Blesbuck in this way and they where not at a close range.
Eric on this trip bagged a wonderful Eland bull at under 200 meters with his 30'06, the first shot got him in the lungs so he would have gone down but Eric was not taking any chances and took another shot hitting the bull in the front and penetrating the hart then the Eland went straight down. It was nearly a full two-day hunt and 85% on foot up and down the mountains after the first day Eric could hardly walk.
Eniel on this trip with his long-range kill shot on a Springbuck. This was Eniel's first hunting trip in his life and he was 75 years old at the time.
